So, as I talk on Skype, a late-nighter tonight, I'm loading up my newly-found Victor Reader Stream with all manner of Star Trek books to read on the bus and in the hotel room. That's what I like about these trips, just lounging around in bed, reading, ordering room service, and just generally being lazy. Ah, laziness, one part of the human condition with which I can easily contend, so long as I'm the one being lazy.
We leave at 9:15 in the morning. My roommate, a bunch of seniors, and I. Typically we arrive at the casino at around 2:30 in the afternoon, then it's whatever until Sunday.
So what books am I bringing? I hear you not asking. Star Trek books, mostly. With eight gigs to play with, I can basically bring enough literature for several trips, which is nice because I can pick and choose which book strikes my fancy at a given time.
What else? The Earth has yet to collide with the sun, which is a good thing because I wouldn't be able to watch season 5 of Corner Gas if it did. So, I leave you with the immortal words of Dean Martin:
When the moon hits your eye
Like a big pizza pie,
that's a-painful.
