First off a little apology for yesterday's poll. I realized almost immediately after writing my question about pets that it wasn't a very fair question to ask. The relationship we humans have with pets, generally speaking, cannot be condensed into a four- or five-word choice in a poll because of its sheer complexity. It's just not that simple, and to top it off, I gave very few options. The word "inferior" was an unfortunate choice, because it didn't accurately encapsulate the point I was trying to get across.
That having been said, have your say in reshaping the education system: take today's poll.
Ignoring correct grammar, speling and usage in the name of creativity
is wonderful, as it stimulates young minds.
is probably a good idea, as it makes for higher self esteem.
may or may not be a good idea, I can't say.
is probably not the best idea.
really hurts a child, as it encourages and praises mediocrity.
The use of calculators in the classroom
should be encouraged from an early age, since computers are the way of the future.
should be encouraged at an early age, since today's child has enough on his or her plate as it is without worrying about precision in math.
should be encouraged at an early age because teachers are already overworked and the less actual correcting they have to do, the better.
should be discouraged, except for the more difficult math taught in the later grades which wasn't taught in grade school previously.
should be banned.
Cellphones in school
should be unconditionally allowed, as it is a necessity in this day and age.
should not be allowed to be used during classtime.
should be completely banned from schools.
Giving a student failing grades
is abusive to the student and should never be done.
should be done for the student's own good, to ensure that he/she learns the material properly before being moved on to more challenging material.
makes a great punishment.
The toughest issue facing schools today is
You are in favor of
home schooling where one parent schools his or her child.
home schooling where a team of parents collectively school their children together in a group.

Students with above-average intelligences should be
encouraged to spread their wings and achieve their full potential.
treated like the other children, and if they choose to exercise their intelligence, fine.
discouraged from reaching their full potential in order to protect the self-esteem of other students.
taught in special classes, just for them.
I consider Hee-Haw
to have been very corny, yet extremely funny.
to have been a great platform for existing and up-and-coming country singers, but the humor just didn't cut it.
to have been a wasted weekly hour.
to have reflected accurately life in the neighborhood where I grew up.
to be the sound a donkey makes, nothing more.
