October 23, which according to my calendar, was last week Tuesday. That
was a pretty monumental update, however, it must be said, extremely
important to me. If you have not read it and wish to do so, here's a link.
So that was Tuesday. The rest of the week was pretty uneventful.
Thursday evening was our once-a-month Blackjack tournament. Laurie
didn't show up, so it was Rod, Darren, and me. It really was quite a
match, and in the end Rod staged a huge comeback to win the tournament.
The weekend was basically spent with kittytech on Skype, as
well as various other friends. And church on Sunday, of course. I was to
do a radio show, but Ken had some technical problems on his end, so it
was not to be. On Sunday, I told my mom about Caroline. I had been
somewhat hesitant to do this, for a few reasons. For starters, I'm my
mom's baby, and in her eyes no woman on earth would ever be good enough
for me. Second, she'd really had it rough during my engagement, and even
though that was quite some time ago, this has been my first relationship
since then. Mom took it better than I had feared, and I'm really glad I
This week hasn't exactly been a stellar week, workwise. A huge lowlight
was the fire we had on Wednesday. No real damage, but we had to evacuate
