the best things in life are ... dogs and books, in that order.
I refer to all soft drinks a coke unless it's Dr. Pepper or rootbeer. The best thing in life is a hug from a child you love, and barring that, a book!
Hmmm, maybe I'm just getting sick to death of books, I dunno. I used to be such an avid reader. Now books make me cringe some days. Today's one. I'm glad I didn't decide to be a sex therapist.
Shazza, where are you from originally? I vaguely remember as a child (hailing from the West Coast) that we referred to all soft drinks as "Coke," but later on that shifted to "pop." "Soda" was an East Coast word when I was a child; so was "sneakers." We, in the west, wore "tennis shoes."
Gingerale, Polar Orange Dry
Children sleeping and a good book (in that order most days)
What about over ice? You forgot over ice! Cubes, not crushed.

Books, I agree, one of the very best things in life; unfortunately, they cost money.
Books, books, I'm sick of books!!!!!!!!!!! Fahrenheit 451, where is thy sting? Okay, I'm fine now.
As much as I do love books, I can see where you're coming from. A couple of days ago I was thinking about how small my life feels; I'd like to travel, I wish I could produce some work of literature or art, I'd like to connect more with people (my comfort zone is me, myself, and I), I'd like to do...something bigger, I guess. But what do I do? I read other people's lives, real or imaginary, and other people's philosophies and ideas. Where are mine? Where's my life? Books...they're great...but they're not enough.

Oops, sorry to rant all over your lj!
best things in life- surprise us
I prefer Diet Dr. Pepper
